Discord Rules
MEETINGS: We want @everyone to enjoy themselves, have fun and feel safe doing it. Therefore we put forth these guidelines. WE PRACTICE GRACIOUS PROFESSIONALISM
Gracious –
- BE KIND to others.
- BE RESPECTFUL to others
- BE PATIENT with others
- BE A GOOD listener
- HAVE A GOOD and thankful attitude in winning and losing
- TREAT OTHERS like you would want them to treat you.
- BUILD EACH OTHER UP with compliments and being helpful.
- BE AWARE AND THOUGHTFUL of other people’s personal space and try not make them uncomfortable. (If you feel someone is backing up from you to make space let them and don’t take it personal)
- CONDUCT YOURSELF in a respectful manner at all times to all team members, mentors and visitors
- NEVER USE inappropriate language or joking around (Teen Tech Center Rules) — NO POLITICS — NO RELIGION — NO SEXUAL REFERENCES — NO RACIAL REFERENCES — NO BULLYING or harassment of any kind.

- ONLY USE language and say things you would happily say out loud and be proud of in front of the whole group
- KEEP YOUR FOCUS about robotics, STEM/STEAM and growing in those interests
- NO SOCIAL MEDIA viewing or sharing that is not about robotics, STEM/STEAM
- NO Calling Names or making up unwelcome nicknames
- NO Commenting or teasing a person about physical appearance
- NO Commenting or teasing a person about their lifestyle choices (eg. Personal Choices, Dietary Choices, Etc.).
- NO Teasing or joking about doing harm to yourself or others. (eg. “What if I put my finger in this vice?” Or “What if I drilled through your hand?”, etc.)
- NO rough housing or playing around in the shop.
- DO NOT use tools or materials in a way that threatens the safety or potential injury of yourself or another person (pointing objects, pretending to throw or shoot objects, spitwads, rubber bands,etc.)
- DO NOT sit at or touch another person’s electronics (laptop, tablet, phone, etc) without their invitation or permission.
- CLEAN UP after yourselves and others if you notice something needs cleaned up.
- KEEP THE SHOP in order. Put tools and materials back when done using them
- KEEP IT about robotics, STEM/STEAM. We want you to form lifelong friendships and have fun, that being said WE DON’T WANT DRAMA, conversations and teasing around students “liking” each other or “crushes” or rumors circulating about stuff like this. PLEASE JUST DON’T DO IT!
