Who We Are - Applied Dynamics Initiative is a robotics and STEAM education program founded in 2019, driven by the transformative story of students like Isabel McCabe—a homeschooled student from New Mexico who discovered her passion through robotics. She’s gone on to attend Johns Hopkins University on a full-ride scholarship, pursuing dual majors in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics with a minor in Robotics and Control Systems and Ixchel Valentino a.k.a The Nerdy Ninja, majoring in Nuclear Engineering at the UNM, while also competing in American Ninja Warrior, a true evangelist of how robotics can inspire and enrich student’s and their family’s lives. Their journeys are just two of many inspired by our program, which have impacted many families in New Mexico and beyond.
Our mission is to prepare students from all backgrounds for the future, creating opportunities that uplift communities and fuel the local economy. We aim to be a strong workforce incubator, offering a seamless pipeline from robotics programs to professional careers. “Competitive robotics is one sport where every student can go pro!” - Dean Kamen
